History
The Victorian Country Bed and Breakfast belonged to Colonel Tharratt Gilbert Best he was a banker, engineer, historian, author & soldier. He inherited the home from his great grand father who founded the The First National Bank of Boonville. It is now owned by Frank & Terri Dutch who turned the home into a B & B, they have been running a B & B  for 13 years.

Joseph R. Tharratt who built the house in 1876 had some famous guest stay at this home such as President William Howard Taft, George Eastman ( Eastman Kodak), Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes, Cornelia Otis Skinner (actor)and Edmond Wilson (critic and writer).
The Dutch family's dedication to the House shines through in all corners of the house.  From its individualized room decorations to the beautiful front drawing room where you will find a  fireplace  matching chandeliers, a cozy couch, microwave, refrigerator and chairs and tables.  Staying at The Victorian County B & B is a truly memorable and fun experience.
They pride themselves on taking excellent care of their guests and making them feel at home from the first moment they step into the home.
